Service of Lament - July 27

"In light of recent events in the United States and around the world, City Church is hosting a special 'Service of Lament' on Wednesday, July 27 at 7pm. The entire Gainesville community is invited to attend. Biblically speaking, a "lament" is an honest expression of pain and sorrow - that things are "not as they should be" - coupled with hopeful longing for restoration and peace. Those who attend the service can expect a carefully planned liturgy that includes extensive opportunities for corporate and individual prayer, special Scripture readings, singing, and testimony. We are gathering primarily to grieve together, so the service will be somber in nature. We hope you'll join us for this important gathering."
