Cultivating Gospel Presence for Generations
The Lord has been blessing our downtown community and ever-growing ministries these past nine years. We believe the Lord is now calling us into an even deeper and more permanent presence by purchasing our entire building and renovating it to suit our growing needs. We'd like you to learn more and prayerfully partner with us in this effort to bring restoration to our downtown Gainesville, Florida community.
Project Vision
Our City Roots vision is to see all people become rooted and established in the love of God; to be hands and feet of Christ as He draws hearts to Him and grows us for His glory.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory he may grant you to be
strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith - that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Goals
Our long-term goal is to renovate and use our entire building in two phases.
- Phase 1: Children's Ministry Suite
- Phase 2: Sanctuary, Foyer, Prayer Room, Flex Room, Kitchen, and Exterior Improvements
To complete both phases without additional debt, we need to raise a total of $2.85M.
Our Progress
As of March 19, 2024 we have raised $2,055,958 in gifts or pledges towards City Roots with an additional $100,000 in Savings!
The Next Milestone
Through your generosity and commitments so far, we have raised enough for Phase 1 and 61% of the funds needed for Phase 2 (the new sanctuary, lobby, prayer room, kitchen, and exterior improvements).
Our goal is to raise an additional $600,000 by the end of 2025.
